Spring Break

Spring Break
There will be no school for students from Friday, March 29 through Friday, April 5 for spring break. Students will return to school on Monday, April 8. Please note that administrative offices and all school offices will be closed to the public during spring break.

Preliminary Applications for the 2024-25 Preschool Program to Be Accepted March 4-29
Preliminary applications to participate in Frederick County Public Schools 2024-25 Preschool Program will be accepted from March 4-29. The program will serve up to 72 selected four-year-olds residing in the Apple Pie Ridge, Evendale, Gainesboro, Indian Hollow, Jordan Springs, Middletown, Redbud Run and Stonewall elementary school attendance zones.

FCPS to Begin 2024-25 Kindergarten Registration
Frederick County Public Schools will begin kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year on March 1. All children who will be five years of age on or before September 30, 2024, must register for kindergarten. Families should contact the registrar at the school the child will attend to complete the registration process electronically or to make an appointment to complete the process at the school.

The General Assembly’s 2024 Regular Session convened on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 and is scheduled to last 60 days. Frederick County Public Schools has prepared a list of bills introduced this year that may impact Frederick County Public Schools.

Edulog Parent Portal App
FCPS families can now use the Edulog Parent Portal for real-time location and information for your student's bus transportation. Learn more about the app.

Free and Reduced Price Meals
Eligible families are encouraged to apply to participate in the free or reduced priced meals program for the 2023-24 school year. Thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), free school meals will be available to all students at several schools this year.
